We understand the pressures and challenges that teenagers face. We are committed to asking the hard questions of them and making our conversations relevant to the changes they are experiencing.
We schedule visits for our soon-to-be young adults to have their own time with the doctor, as well as with parents present. We encourage our tech-savvy teens to communicate directly with the doctor using the internet. We offer resources for young athletes that focus their efforts on healthy physical development and appropriate nutrition. We also have an extensive collection of academic resources for young students interested in broadening their school success.
“When I asked my teenage son if he wanted to stop going to a female pediatrician he was adamant about the relationship he’d developed with Dr. Smith. It was something that grew over many years and I think it’s wonderful that skill and trust, not gender, were important in his eyes.”
